ROLE

The Brutus' Food Pantry Volunteer assists in the daily operational duties of the food pantry. The ideal candidate should demonstrate a commitment to supporting individuals in need, superior organizational skills, teamwork, and empathy. Volunteers shifts are 2 hours long. They would:

  • Foster a welcoming, productive, and safe environment where students are respected and valued.
  • Staff the front desk of the space and provide information to visitors.
  • Assist with the intake process of guests.
  • Receive donations and assist with unloading our van as needed.
  • Organize, sort, and stock items and ensure they are stored in an appropriate manner.
  • Maintain organization and cleanliness of the space per college and health regulations.

The Brutus' Food Pantry is a food resource that serves the community of Bellevue College. The driving force behind the Brutus' Food Pantry is to relieve hunger free of judgment, stigma, and low barriers. The Food Pantry connects students to short- and long-term food options. It is part of the Benefits Hub.
