Description

Boys & Girls Clubs of Bellevue is looking for volunteers to help with our after school tutoring program. We provide homework help and tutoring to students in grades K to 12 in a variety of subjects including Reading, Writing, Math, Science, History, and Languages.

As a tutor you will provide academic assistance to students during homework help time after school. Based on your preferred subjects and availability you will be assigned to a Clubhouse that best suits your skills.

A student could come in needing help with homework; or they might need help understanding a tricky concept before a huge test. As a tutor your main responsibility to help the student with their questions so that they have full understanding of the subject and questions at hand. As always, it's important to be able to communicate and interact with the students in order to provide the best working dynamic.

Volunteers fluent in Spanish and Mandarin Chinese are encouraged to apply!

We strive to provide our youth with consistency. We seek volunteers who are interested in supporting our after-school programming at least once per week for at least 3 months. Having a regular, ongoing presence in the program helps volunteers build strong relationships with our children youth.
