Friends of the Issaquah Salmon Hatchery (FISH) Salmon Science Table Volunteers teach about salmon conservation and build connections with the Issaquah Salmon Hatchery at school and community events in the greater King County region. With a focus on interactive and hands-on activities, the Salmon Science Table program facilitates learning through exploration of life science, biology, and environmental concepts related to our iconic native cold-water fish. Volunteers guide attendees through the following education modules: Salmon Foundations: Species and Life Cycle, Coho in the Current: Fish Dissection, and The Ripple Effect: Model Watershed Pollution Solutions.
- Timing: Events are year-round, however, most happen from January to June. Most events are on weekday evenings, however, they also happen during the day on any day of the week.
- Volunteer Commitment: 10+ hours
