Volunteer: YWCA Childcare Help NeededThe YWCA has multiple sites, multiple child care positions, and multiple dates/times available.
Most of our childcare positions are to help our program support groups, when parents come together to either attend a class, or a support group. The parents are usually in one room, and the kids are with a staff member having a program themselves, and that's where you'd be. Supervising the kids, helping with projects, and making sure everyone stays safe while having fun! If this is something you'd like to move forward on, we will start by having you do an online profile, get some references and paperwork. Then one more meeting with who would be your direct supervisor who’ll do a small orientation to learn some of the challenges working with homeless or domestic violence populations.
Once the staff signs off on your interview, we do a background check, and when that clears, you're ready to go!
We are really looking for long term committed volunteers, and would love to get your started on the process, so please let me know if you'd like to move forward and when you might be available for an interview.
Thank you so much for your interest.
