Did you know that over 70% of the available planting space in Bellevue is located on privately-owned suburban property? If we're serious about increasing Bellevue's urban tree canopy (UTC), then we need to be serious about neighborhood-level outreach and tree-planting efforts.
We are looking for volunteers interested in helping to spread the word about 300 Trees in their area or a neighborhood we've identified as supportive of our tree-planting efforts.
Activities would include social media posts/outreach this winter, as well as door-to-door canvassing (leaving flyers on people's doorsteps) in the spring and summer. Initial volunteers may also be asked to help us identify and contact neighborhood leaders who can give us a more solid connection to other residents.
