Offer weekday administrative office support at the Federal Way or Beacon Hill office of the nonprofit Full Life Care.

Your role may include:

Welcoming caregiver staff, new hires, and guests* at the front desk.Assisting interested individuals with job application process. Organizing supplies, mailings, and paperwork.Handcrafting decorative and informative posters, artwork, greeting cards, etc.

* In-home caregivers most commonly visit our offices, employed by our home care program, which is part of our network of community-based health and social services for seniors and adults with disabilities.

At Beacon Hill, Adult Day Health Center volunteering may be added directly before or after front desk volunteer shifts.

Available volunteer times:

At Beacon Hill: Any weekday 12pm - 2pm preferred; Additional times available M-F At Federal Way: Tuesdays, 9am - 1pm preferred; Additional times available M-F 

Do you have weekday morning or afternoon availability to bring joy to adults with disabilities?

Support adults with disabilities at Full Life Care's South Seattle Adult Day Health Center in Beacon Hill, engaging in 1:1 interactions and group activities, which may include:

Arts and crafts workshopsMusical performancesStory sharing discussionsCognitive gamesShow-and-tell...and more!

Come for a one-time event individually or in a group, or sign up for weekly shifts (preferably starting Sept/Oct-Dec; available ongoing throughout the year). 

Greet and socialize with participants during their arrival, activity programs, and transition times. Provide positive encouragement to participants, supporting their engagement. Assist staff group leaders with setting up, facilitating, and cleaning up activities and related supplies.

Minimum age of 18 is required, unless part of a youth group with an adult group leader.

No minimum experience needed; Training and ongoing support provided.

Help relieve stress and prevent burnout by supporting an unpaid family caregiver, who may (for example) ask you to help organize their home, plan a special occasion, help with a gardening project, pick up their dry cleaning or spend time with the person they care for while they go for a cup of coffee with a friend.

In just 4 flexible hours a month and a one-year commitment you can lift the spirits of an unpaid family caregiver and their dependent, gain a unique life experience, and enrich your spare time.

Various location options available throughout King County, WA (North and South King County, Seattle, and Eastside)  No minimum experience needed; Training and ongoing support provided.   Join as an individual or recruit a team!

Their kindness and their readiness to provide meaningful interaction with my husband [the care recipient] has been greatly beneficial to me not feeling isolated and alone.
