Lake Washington Symphony Orchestra

The Lake Washington Symphony Orchestra has strong ties to cities surrounding Lake Washington.  After 43 years of performance as the Bellevue Philharmonic Orchestra, the orchestra was shut down in 2011 due to the severe economic downturn of 2008.  The musicians recognized that the orchestra had served its surrounding communities well with both concerts and educational outreach programs and was at the height of its professional artistic reach when the orchestra was disbanded.  To continue this legacy of excellent music making, the musicians decided to form a new professional orchestra under the name of The Lake Washington Symphony Orchestra.
